Round 1 at Stafford:

The 13^th of April 2008 saw the opening round of the TORC season at Stafford. The weather forecast promised heavy rain but Jake and Ryan decided to participate anyhow. The morning looked very dull indeed but the rain held off, surprisingly all day. Ryan was running in the 27turn/13.5 brushless class whereas Jake was running in the unlimited modified class. The first round was damp so Ryan chose to run his wet rubber, this was unfortunately the wrong decision and they quickly overheated. Overall Ryan qualified 6^th in the A final. Jake qualified 12^th. In the finals Ryan placed 8^th overall after two consistent but unlucky runs. Jake had nearly got to grips with the ‘break-neck’ speed of modified. He finished 12^th overall.

Round two is at Bedworth on the 11^th of May.
